INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The city of Indianapolis tried curb-side pickup of Christmas trees last season but they’re going back to asking residents to resume dropping trees off at city parks.
The Indianapolis Star reports (https://indy.st/1SkZVCP ) that there was confusion last year when the city tried to implement the new program. Instead of putting trees at the curb, residents put them in the parks. The city rescinded the ban against park drop off for trees by Jan. 6.
This year things will go back to the way they’ve done for years. The city says residents can drop off their Christmas trees at nine city parks for mulching until Jan. 31. There will be no curb-side pickup this season. Trees should be clear of decorations and other non-organic material.
