UNITY, N.H. (AP) - Fire officials say an initial investigation into a blaze that destroyed a home in Unity found that a wood stove was likely to blame for the cause.

Fire Chief Bruce Baker tells The Valley News (https://bit.ly/1JffdqG ) that the walls surrounding the wood stove caught fire, spreading flames throughout the single-family Sawyer Brook Road home on Monday. The fire was first reported around 4:20 p.m.

It took nearly two hours to extinguish the blaze after firefighters found the house fully engulfed on arrival. Crews from roughly two dozen fire departments assisted.

Baker deemed the home a total loss. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
