DENVER (AP) - The Regional Transportation District will offer free rides on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day to discourage drinking and driving in the Denver area.
The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/vh9EOZ ) all regularly scheduled bus and train services, as well as Access-a-Ride and SkyRide services, will be free from 7 p.m. Thursday through 12 a.m. on Jan. 2.
RTD will operate on a weekday schedule on New Year’s Eve and a Sunday/holiday schedule on New Year’s Day.
The transportation agency has offered free rides over New Year’s for the past 25 years.
