MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A 36-year-old Wisconsin woman is accused of stealing nearly $27,000 from her mother-in-law.

Nicole Grauvogl of Waupun is charged with five felony counts of misappropriate ID info to obtain money. The Daily Citizen of Beaver Dam (https://bit.ly/1Ok5Pm1 ) reports that she faces up to 30 years in prison and $50,000 in fines if convicted of all charges.

A criminal complaint says officers responded June 27 to a fraud complaint from a woman who had noticed unusual activity in her checking account. Officers determined a suspect had withdrawn about $26,800 from the woman’s checking account in more than 100 transactions.

The woman identified Grauvogl, her daughter-in-law, as the suspect shown on security footage.

Court records don’t list an attorney for Grauvogl. She’s scheduled to make her initial court appearance Jan. 11.
