STURGIS, S.D. (AP) - Authorities say a 25-year-old woman was killed when she lost control of the pickup truck she was driving on a snow-covered and icy highway two miles west of Sturgis.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says the woman was heading east on Interstate 90 just after 9 a.m. Thursday when the truck entered the median and overturned. The patrol says the woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck and died. Her name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Weather conditions at the time included blowing snow.

The crash remains under investigation.
