BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police have arrested a 23-year-old woman in the shooting death of her boyfriend.

In a release, police say Jalisa Lashae Wilson was arrested Wednesday in the slaying of Reginald Lee, who police said lived with Wilson.

Police found Lee with a gunshot wound to the chest. He died later at a hospital.

During questioning Wilson told detectives that Lee had “physically attacked her and she shot him in self-defense.

But police said Wilson had no physical signs that showed she had been attacked.

Wilson was booked on one count of second-degree murder.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for her.
