SALEM, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire police have arrested a man wanted for the 2014 shooting death of a man in Massachusetts.

Police received information that 23-year-old Joshua Chevez of Methuen, Massachusetts, was at a motel in Salem, New Hampshire. They staked out the room and when Chevez walked out of a room Wednesday night, they arrested him.

Chevez is charged with murder for the Aug. 17, 2014, death of Mark Trussell in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The Eagle Tribune reports that Trussell was caught in a crossfire and shot in the head.

Chevez faces drug and weapons charges in New Hampshire after officers found crack cocaine, oxycodone pills and a loaded gun in the motel room.

He was arraigned Thursday and held without bail. The public defender representing Chevez did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
