SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Police in Sioux Falls say a wife is accused of stabbing her husband in the chest after an argument.

Lt. Dave McIntire says officers were called to their home just after 1 a.m. Thursday. He says the couple was having an argument over a television, and the 24-year-old woman went outside to damage the husband’s car.

McIntire says that when the husband tried to stop his wife from scratching his vehicle with a knife, she stabbed him once in the chest. The 30-year-old man called police and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Mirna Leticia Bolvito was arrested on a charge of aggravated domestic. Attorney information for Bolvito was not immediately available.
