CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Emergency medical service workers in Charlotte say three people have been found dead in a home on the south side of the city.

Medic did not offer any details in its initial statement late Friday morning.

Multiple media outlets reported that Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney was at the scene near Pineville with a number of officers.

The home is near Sterling Elementary School but a school system spokesman says the school is not on lockdown.

Police have not released any information about what happened. The victims’ names have not been released.
