PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities say an 8-year-old girl ran into a beauty salon to get help after her mother passed out following an apparent heroin binge that left one man dead in Pittsburgh.

Police say they found 32-year-old Jamie Hudak in her vehicle after a woman from the salon helped revive her.

They say the daughter told police they had just come from the home of her mother’s friend. Police say they soon found the friend, Timothy Antoszewski, dead of an apparent overdose at the home.

Hudak remains in the Allegheny County jail Friday on charges that include child endangerment. Court records show she has been unable to post $5,000 bail and does not yet have a lawyer listed.
