BOSTON (AP) - A Quincy man has been convicted of murdering two other men in Boston’s Roxbury section three years ago.

A Suffolk County Superior Court jury found 26-year-old Keon Monteiro guilty of two counts of second-degree murder and a firearm crime Friday, after seven days of testimony and five days of deliberations.

Prosecutors say Monteiro shot fellow Quincy residents Victor Otoadese and Sean Repetto in their heads in broad daylight in November 2012. A motive was never disclosed.

Monteiro’s lawyer, John Tardif, says Monteiro and his family are upset about the verdicts, and an appeal is planned.

Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley says Monteiro was seen running away from the shooting scene with a gun.

Monteiro is scheduled to be sentenced Monday. He faces a mandatory life prison sentence.
