MILWAUKEE (AP) - A Milwaukee man faces up to 47½ years in prison for fatally shooting a 1-year-old boy.

Darmequaye Cohill was convicted of first-degree reckless homicide Thursday in the death of Bill Thao. The child was playing on the floor of a relative’s house last December when a barrage of gunshots struck the home. One of those gunshots killed the boy.

Authorities say the 22-year-old Cohill shot at the wrong house in a drug dispute. Sentencing is Jan. 14.
