DENVER (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a motorcyclist who was run over as many as three times after he crashed on Interstate 25 in Denver.

The Denver Post reports (https://goo.gl/yCtsjh ) 61-year-old Michael Martinez crashed near the exit for Santa Fe Drive early Wednesday morning and was hit by several vehicles. The drivers left the scene.

Sgt. Mike Farr says they likely knew they ran over something but might not have known they had hit a man. He added that several other drivers stopped briefly before heading off.

Investigators say a witness told them the vehicles involved in the wreck include a tractor-trailer with a white cab with red lettering, a box truck and a sedan.
