DETROIT (AP) - A man suspected in the fatal shooting of a woman in Grand Rapids has been arrested in Detroit after a standoff with police and federal agents.

FBI spokeswoman Jill Washburn says the man was turned over to Grand Rapids police on Friday.

The tense situation began early Friday on Detroit’s west side when authorities attempted to execute a search warrant at a house.

A negotiator spoke on a loudspeaker and tear gas was fired into the home. Grand Rapids police Lt. Scott Weitzel says the man is a suspect in the Nov. 6 death of 31-year-old Melissa Moore of Holland.

During the standoff, police told the man that his family was worried about him.
