GREENSBURG, La. (AP) - St. Helena Parish sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man in the slaying of a 65-year-old man who was found shot to death in his bed Sunday morning.

Chief of Detectives Joe Chaney tells The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1jD6pi2) deputies booked Gene Allen Rawls in the death of Herbert Graves on Thursday.

Chaney says detectives found Rawls inside Graves’ truck, though he did not go into specifics.

He says Rawls was booked with first-degree murder and theft of a vehicle.

Online jail records did not list an attorney for Rawls.
