COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Tim Scott is taking part in a discussion on ways small businesses can recover from historic flooding in South Carolina.

Scott is holding a field hearing Friday entitled “Strategies for Rebuilding: An Examination of Small Business Recovery Efforts in South Carolina.”

Scott is a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. His office says the committee will be talking about ways to support the recovery of the state’s small businesses.

The hearing is taking place at Columbia City Hall.
