WORLAND, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming Sugar’s beet fields have yielded a record harvest and sugar content this year.

The Northern Wyoming Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1NuzcNM ) that the Worland company’s vice president, Vince Salzman, says the 10,600 acres yielded 31.8 tons per acre with a sugar content of nearly 19.2 percent.

Salzman attributes the record year to the efficient work of the growers and Wyoming Sugar crew.

The operations are expected to continue through January.
