CAMANCHE, Iowa (AP) - Absentee ballots for a special election to fill a Camanche City Council vacancy will be available next week.

The Clinton Herald reports (https://bit.ly/21yQP9y ) that the ballots will be available at the Clinton County Auditor’s office starting Monday.

Absentee ballots may be cast in the auditor’s office during regular office hours through Dec. 14. Ballots also may be hand-delivered to the Auditor’s Office before 8 p.m. Dec. 15, the day of the election.

Three candidates - Jay Saxon, Danny Weller and Willis Jr. - have entered the race to fill the council seat left open after former council member Mike McManus resigned in September.
