SAND SPRINGS, Okla. (AP) - The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office says the body of a man has been found in Big Heart Creek near Sand Springs.

Deputy Justin Green told reporters that a person talking a walk along the creek discovered the body about 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Green says there were no obvious signs of foul play and that a suspected cause of death has not been determined, but that detectives say the death is suspicious and is being investigated as a homicide.

The dead man is described only as a white male, possibly in his 40s.
