HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Hartford Police have discovered the skeletal remains of five bodies in a home that may have come from a cemetery in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Police said they responded to 245 Preston Street on Friday after receiving a report of stored human skeletal remains.

Police said the tenant was cooperative and showed the officers where the remains were located. Investigators said they got a search warrant and recovered the remains of five bodies.

Police said they also learned that five graves had been robbed from a cemetery in Worcester.

The tenant, identified as 32-year-old Amador Medina, was taken into custody and charged as a fugitive from justice from Massachusetts.

A police spokesman said he didn’t know if Medina had an attorney yet. He will be arraigned Monday in Hartford.

The investigation is continuing.
