MCDONOUGH, Ga. (AP) - Jail records show Henry County Commission candidate accused in the death of a two-year-old foster child last month has been arrested.

Henry County Sheriff’s Office website says 27-year-old Jennifer Rosenbaum was arrested Friday night. She is charged with murder, aggravated assault, two counts of cruelty to children.

Rosenbaum’s husband, 26-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum, was also arrested and charged with two counts of cruelty to children.

The Henry County Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1PIUEFx ) that the arrests came after the Nov. 17 death of Laila Marie Daniel. The newspaper says Jennifer Rosenbaum is a U.S. Army National Guard veteran military police officer and Emory law school student. She announced her candidacy for Henry Commission District 1.

Both were taken to the Henry County Jail. No bond was listed.

WSB-TV reports both are expected in the court Monday.
