LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a human leg has been found in the Arkansas River in west Little Rock.

Little Rock police officer Richard Hilgeman says the leg was found Saturday floating near the Big Dam Bridge on the Little Rock side of the river and was taken by the Pulaski County coroner’s office. The bridge is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting Little Rock with North Little Rock.

Sheriff’s Lt. Ted Hasse says boats are being used as investigators search the area.
