WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) - A man accused of causing a West Valley police officer to fall from a rooftop during a pursuit has been charged in the incident.

KSL-TV in Salt Lake City reports (https://bit.ly/1NaTgWd) that multiple charges including making a threat of terrorism and criminal mischief were filed Thursday against 32-year-old Sergio Ramirez Lopez.

Police were called Nov. 17 to a gas station where Lopez had allegedly been acting suspicious.

Authorities say Lopez was then found on a mall roof, tearing pipes off and throwing them at officers.

They say the man charged at police when they tried to arrest him, causing one to fall from the 10-foot-tall building.

The officer suffered minor injuries.

It was not known Saturday if he had an attorney. Lopez is set to appear in court Tuesday.
