AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a murder suspect mistakenly released from a Georgia jail in October has been taken into custody.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent in charge Pat Morgan tells the Augusta Chronicle (https://bit.ly/1YQmJMo ) that Terrance Marque Brown was arrested Friday on an outstanding warrant for murder. Brown was one of 11 suspects in the April 11, 2014 shooting death of Mondrekous Bonner in Waynesboro.

Brown is being held at the Burke County jail on a charge of murder and aggravated assault.

Officials say Brown was initially booked under the alias Alphonso Bray on Oct. 30 for a disorderly conduct charge. Officials say Bray was not fingerprinted because of the nature of his arrest, until it was scanned upon his release the following day. Officers didn’t realize the error until later.
