MOUNT STERLING, Ky. (AP) - Authorities say a Montgomery County firefighter has died in the line of duty.

Montgomery County Fire-EMS reported on its Facebook page that Capt. Zach Clevenger died after fighting a structure fire Friday night with the Estill County Fire Department, where he was a volunteer member.

Montgomery County Fire says the 30-year-old Clevenger arrived home shortly before midnight, but he was found unconscious by his wife early Saturday. Efforts to revive him were not successful.
