PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities say a bank robbery suspect who was fatally shot by a moonlighting Pittsburgh police officer is a 21-year-old Mount Oliver resident with a criminal history.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1RvLqLZ ) reported Saturday that an autopsy was planned for the dead suspect, Raymone Davis.

Police say an off-duty officer, in uniform providing security for First Niagara Bank, shot Davis in the side after he pointed a loaded gun at her.

The only customer inside tells the paper that the officer, who hasn’t been named, identified herself as a police officer and demanded that Davis drop the gun.

An investigation is underway.

The paper says Davis has pleaded guilty to simple assault, resisting arrest, drug offenses, retail theft and defiant trespass.
