DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) - A registered sex offender has pleaded guilty in Scott County District Court to trying to lure a 4-year-old girl into his home.

The Quad-City Times reports (https://bit.ly/1OFqVvz ) that Dale Arihood, of Bettendorf, pleaded guilty Friday to enticing a child and failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements.

Prosecutors are recommending a 10-year sentence for each offense when Arihood is sentence Jan. 15.

Police say that in July, Arihood was in an alley behind the home of a family whose three children, ages 2, 4 and 8, were outside. Police say Arihood asked the 4-year-old if she wanted to go to his house. The 8-year-old alerted her parents, and police say a subsequent search of Airhood’s hotel room turned up child pornography and children’s underwear.
