NEWPORT, Vt. (AP) - People who want to learn more about salmon in the Clyde River in northeastern Vermont can attend a free talk.

State fisheries Biologist Lenny Gerardi will present a free slide show and talk at the Emory Hebard State Office Building in Newport on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.

Fishing for landlocked Atlantic salmon on the Clyde River in Newport was once renowned throughout the region.

The salmon fishery on the Clyde is once again booming, and attracting anglers from throughout Vermont and beyond.
