WILIMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Wilmington police say a 16-year-old boy was shot in the city.

The shooting occurred Saturday evening in a residential neighborhood. Police say they got a report of shots being fired but didn’t immediately find a shooting scene or a victim. They caught up with the teenager in the emergency room at Wilmington Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the upper right leg.

Police say the teen’s condition is stable. Police say he was walking on the street when he was shot. He was not able to provide a description of the shooter.
