BLYTHEWOOD, S.C (AP) - The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles Office in Anderson is closing for three weeks of renovation.

Staff using a mobile vehicle parked at the office site starting Monday will provide customers with service until the renovations are completed Dec. 31.

Customers may also visit offices in Belton or Seneca. In the meantime, customers also have the option of processing many transactions at the DMV website.

DMV spokeswoman Jean Smolen says that given the closure due to the New Year’s holiday on Friday, the offices will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4.

The renovation is adding eight service counters and new modular furnishings as well as new windows, flooring and paint.
