LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas authorities have identified a disabled man who was fatally struck by a driver as his wife was pushing his wheelchair.

KLAS-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1YS2vlp) the Clark County coroner’s office said Saturday that 46-year-old Michael Allan Terrell, of North Las Vegas, died as a result of the collision but did not release a cause of death.

Police say Terrell and 44-year-old Judith Terrell were crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk on Las Vegas Boulevard near Walnut Road when they were both hit around 8:20 p.m. Friday.

The driver fled the scene.

The couple was taken to a hospital, where Michael Terrell died.

Judith Terrell’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

Investigators say the vehicle is possibly an early 1990s model of a dark colored Nissan sedan.
