JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Police are investigating after a man’s body was found inside a truck that was submerged in a retention pond on Jacksonville’s west side.

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Stacy tells The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/1HOHAeR ) that police were called Saturday morning by someone who spotted the truck in the pond near a Lowe’s Home Improvement store parking lot.

Stacy says a dive team was called and found the man inside the white Ford truck.

The truck had a logo for a turf company. Stacy says it appeared to have been driven through the fence surrounding the pond before plunging into the water.

The truck was pulled out of the water later Saturday.

Stacy says an investigation is underway and no further details were immediately available.
