LEBANON, Ore. (AP) - The Oregon State Police have released the names of the eight people hurt and one killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday night near Lebanon.

KGW-TV reports (https://is.gd/i1a3ED ) a Honda Civic driven by 38-year-old Janice Lee Dye, of Albany failed to stop at an intersection at Highway 34 west of Lebanon. Police say her car was hit by a van and a Subaru also collided with the Honda, cutting the Honda in half.

Dye was pronounced dead at the scene.

The seven occupants of the van and the driver of the Subaru were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say distracted driving is being investigated as a contributing factor.

Highway 34 was closed for nearly five hours after the accident.
