ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - The state Department of Environmental Conservation is seeking public comment on a management plan being prepared for 18,440 acres of state forest land in St. Lawrence County.

A public meeting on the plan is scheduled for Tuesday evening at the high school in Colton.

The tracts covered by the plan are in the St. Lawrence County towns of Colton, Hopkinton, Parishville, Pierrepont, Potsdam and Russell. Details are provided on the DEC website (https://on.ny.gov/1LTDywJ ).

The plan will address access, recreation and timber management.
