FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a 13-year-old boy was arrested in Fresno after he was caught driving a stolen car while intoxicated.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tony Botti tells the Fresno Bee (https://bit.ly/1OIxopz ) a deputy saw a Honda Accord spin out of control near the northbound Highway 99 off-ramp Friday night, come to a stop, and five people run from the scene.

Deputies detained three of the suspects, including the driver, who were hiding at nearby Union Pacific Railroad yard.

Botti says a sobriety test by a California Highway Patrol officer showed the 13-year-old boy was intoxicated. He faces felony charges for vehicle theft and possession of stolen property, and a misdemeanor charge of DUI.

A 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl face felony charges for possession of stolen property.
