LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Lane closures on the state Highway 178 bridge are beginning as crews work on refurbishing Bull Shoals Dam gates.

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department says the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will close all lanes on the bridge between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

The agency says starting Monday, the eastbound lane will remain closed until the dam rehabilitation is complete.

Full lane closures of no more than two days are planned about every two months through May 2017 as work continues along the bridge.
