STAUNTON, Va. (AP) - Augusta County school officials have welcomed back a bus driver deemed to have not been at fault for an August crash that left 20 students with minor injuries.

The News-Virginian (https://bit.ly/1lIFkeU ) reports that a reckless driving charge against 65-year-old Daniel Dull in connection with the accident was dismissed Thursday. Dull returned to work Friday morning.

Augusta County Assistant Superintendent for Administration Doug Shifflett says an August County District Court judge found no wrongdoing.

On Aug. 25, Dull’s bus hit a guardrail upon encountering a work zone near Churchville. Dull overcorrected and the bus ran off the road, striking a tree.

Twenty of the 35 students onboard were taken to Augusta Health for treatment of lacerations, abrasions and broken bones. Dull was also hospitalized.
