ORANGE, Conn. (AP) - Police say a mother and daughter with the same name were arrested during a home invasion in Orange.

Police say 55-year-old Peggy Curtiss on Thursday walked into a home and was thrown out by the homeowners. They say the homeowners then prevented her from forcing her way back into the home.

That’s when investigators say her 35-year-old daughter, also named Peggy Curtiss, smashed a window with a lawn decoration and crawled inside. Police found her in an upstairs bathroom and used a stun gun on her after she refused to leave.

The Bridgeport women were each charged with burglary- and larceny-related charges.

A public defender tells WTIC-TV they walked into the wrong home in search of a friend, and that the daughter is taking medication that causes psychosis.
