SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A 35-year-old western Massachusetts woman and her 18-year-old boyfriend have both denied charges of receiving stolen property after they were found inside a stolen car for the second time in eight months.

The Republican of Springfield reports (https://bit.ly/1Qqus0J ) Elsa Rodriguez and Isaiah Moreira entered pleaded not guilty Friday in Springfield District Court.

Assistant District Attorney Sultan Durzi says the couple was also arrested on April 8 and likewise charged with receiving a stolen vehicle.

Rodriguez’s attorney says her client believed the car belonged to Moreira and “had no idea it was stolen.”

Moreira’s attorney says his client was “just riding in his girlfriend’s car” and pointed out that “she was the one who was driving.”

Judge William Boyle revoked Rodriguez’s bail and ordered Moreira held on a juvenile court warrant.
