WARREN, Pa. (AP) - A funeral was set for a northwestern Pennsylvania hunter who died after falling from a tree stand.

Monday’s funeral for 49-year-old Ronald Mahovsky comes a week after he died while hunting in Warren County.

County Coroner Jerry Borden says Mahovsky fell more than 30 feet after the ladder to the stand broke.

Mahovsky suffered facial fractures and neck injuries.

It appears Mahovsky was trying to climb down from the stand when he fell. He wasn’t found until 9 p.m. Nov. 30, several hours after he failed to return for dinner.

Mahovsky is survived by a wife and four children.
