TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A couple convicted of holding their three daughters captive will face a separate trial in Pinal County, where the family lived before moving to Tucson.

Fernando and Sophia Richter were convicted of three counts each of child abuse and kidnapping in Pima County last week. Fernando Richter was also found guilty of two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Pinal County says the Richters will face trial there after they are sentenced in Tucson in February.

They face 24 counts of child abuse and kidnapping in Pinal County. Fernando Richter also faces child molestation and sexual abuse charges.

The girls escaped in November 2013 and testified in court that their parents kept them in rooms, rarely allowed bathroom breaks and abused them if they broke any rules.
