PICKENS, S.C. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a weekend crash that killed one person and injured another.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol tells local media outlets that the crash happened just after 9:30 p.m. Friday several miles south of Six Mile.

Lance Cpl. Gary Miller says 28-year-old Timothy Adam Hester Sr. of Liberty ran a stop sign, overturned and hit a building. He was taken to a hospital with injuries.

A passenger, 23-year-old Alanah Elizabeth Holcombe, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say neither person was wearing a seatbelt. Authorities are still investigating the crash.
