GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - A Greenville man has been arrested on charges he sold heroin near a school.

WITN-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1CnsngE ) that 52-year-old Gregory Jones was arrested just after 2 p.m. Saturday.

Police say Jones is accused of having, selling, or delivering heroin within a thousand feet of a school, plus some other related drug charges.

Officials say Jones’ bond was set at $1.5 million, and he was being held at the Pitt County jail. It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney, and he was set to appear in court on Monday.
