CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire fire officials say a fire at a Concord courthouse was contained to the vending machine room where it started.

The cause of the Sunday morning fire is still being investigated, but officials say it appears to be accidental.

State Fire Marshal William Degnan says Concord firefighters responded to Merrimack County Superior Court when a fire alarm went off at 10:13 a.m.

The building was closed and secure at the time of the fire. Degnan said fire damage was contained to the first-floor vending machine, but there is some smoke and water damage to other parts of the building.

Judicial branch spokeswoman Carole Alfano said the courthouse will remain closed Monday and possibly longer.
