GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A man has been charged with the stabbing death of a 69-year-old man at his Greenville home.

Greenville Police spokesman Johnathan Bragg tells local media outlets that officers got a call at around 6 p.m. Friday that someone was unconscious.

Inside a home, officers found the body of Jerry Boston, who had been stabbed multiple times.

On Saturday, officers said 50-year-old Noah Malloy Jr. had been arrested and charged with murder.

Malloy was in jail, and it wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney. Police said a tip from the community helped them identify Malloy was a suspect.
