WAYNE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a missing elderly woman has been found alive but seriously injured after her crashed car was discovered at a northern New Jersey business.

Wayne police tell NJ.com (https://bit.ly/161E6U6 ) that 81-year-old township resident Mary Gwenn was reported missing Friday night. Her relatives told police that she suffered from medical issues.

Gwenn’s car was found Saturday by worker at a concrete business. The vehicle was angled over a retaining wall, its front end in the ground and its rear wheels still on the four-foot wall.

Gwenn was found in the vehicle. She was suffering from exposure to the cold and was taken to a hospital, but further details on her condition were not disclosed.

Investigators say it’s not clear how much time passed between the crash and the vehicle’s discovery.
