ROCKLAND, Maine (AP) - Police in Maine say a 35-year-old man was struck and killed by a car in Rockland and another man is charged in connection with his death.

Rockland police say 35-year-old Daniel Cormier of Rockland was struck and killed at about 5:30 Friday night near the Pizza Hut on Camden Street.

Authorities have charged 40-year-old Jeremy Stone of Rockport with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death and operating under the influence. He also has outstanding warrants from Waldo County.

WCSH6 reports (https://on.wcsh6.com/1DtFObP ) that Stone is being held in the Knox County jail. It was not immediately known if he has a lawyer.
