NEW LONDON, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire state police say a man fired at another driver in an apparent road rage incident and led police on a high speed chase that ended in New London and prompted a brief lockdown at Colby-Sawyer College.

Police say 52-year-old Alexander Stevens of New London faces multiple charges, including reckless conduct, criminal threatening, resisting arrest and driving under suspension.

The shooting was reported by a driver in Manchester at 7:22 a.m. Sunday.

Troopers spotted Stevens’ car in Concord, bu he refused to stop. They say he led them on a roughly 35-mile chase - puncturing three tires on three separate spike strips - before reaching his New London home.

Stevens is being held at Merrimack County Jail on $15,000 bail. He is due in Concord District Court Monday.
