RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A Raleigh man has been accused of stealing more than $44,000 from a Cary school that helps children with developmental disorders.

WRAL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1LAjFhV ) that 31-year-old Charles Scott Hall was arrested Thursday on a felony charge of embezzlement. Officials say he allegedly stole the money from the nonprofit Mariposa School for Children with Autism between May 1 and Jan. 15.

The school declined to comment on the arrest.

Court records show Hall was arrested in both November and December on forgery charges.

He was listed in the Wake County Detention Center on Sunday under a $30,000 secured bond. It wasn’t immediately known if he had an attorney.
