CHICAGO (AP) - Managers of some Chicago bars and taverns hosting Super Bowl parties say they won’t let the wintry weather spoil their plans.

Brendan’s Pub on the city’s North Side is a New England Patriots bar. Manager Kathi Kreger says most customers are local and will brave the conditions. She says Chicagoans are used to it.

The manager at Roots Handmade Pizza says they’re readying for a spike in deliveries. He says they’re going to proceed as planned.

Already the wintry blast is impacting travel.

State officials are urging caution with road travel. The Chicago Department of Aviation said Sunday that more than 1,000 flights have been canceled out of both O’Hare and Midway international airports.

There’s a blizzard warning in effect for the Chicago area.
